"CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES"

"BILL OF RIGHTS"

AMENDMENT I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridge the freedom of speech, or of the press; or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

[proposed September 25, 1789; ratified December 15, 1791]

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,

In other words, Congress is not allowed in any way, shape or form to say that one religion is better or worse then another. How is it then that Congress can say that "Christian" items such as the "Nativity" may not be displayed on public property but that it is okay for "Jewish" symbols, such as the "Torah" and the "Menorah" to be displayed?

or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

This portion says that Congress may not in any way, shape or form tell you how you may or may not worship. How is it then that Congress says you cannot "pray" in school or post the "Ten Commandments" or mention the name of "God" or the name of "Jesus"?

or abridge the freedom of speech,

Remember what happened to the whistle blowers in the "LAPD Scandels", "Silkwood", etc?

or of the press;

How many times have you heard of someone being thrown into jail or fined because they would not reveal their sources of a story such as "Watergate", or refused to retract a story that they printed because it revealed the "Truth of Corruption"?

or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble,

This portion says that we do not need special permits to assemble and that we may assemble anywhere we choose. And that we have the right to protest without fear of reprisal or of being thrown into jail or fined. How is it then that Congress says that we cannot meet in a particular place, and that we must have a special permit to meet no matter where it is that we meet? (Remember the "Democratic Convention" of Los Angeles in 2000? "Kent State"? The "Viet Nam" war?) What is going on in San Diego today as well as in other parts of the world?

and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

This portion allows you the right to appeal unjust laws and judgments. Why is it then that one may not appeal an unjust law at the local level based on our "Constitutional Civil Rights"? How many people's "Civil Rights" have been violated and yet they were not allowed to use their "Civil Rights" in their defense? I for one am one of countless many. For example, the "violation" of the right to be "secure" from "unreasonable searches and seizures", being "forced" to do something against your "free will", (mandatory insurance, mandatory no smoking, etc, a direct violation of the "Fourteenth Amendment"), not to mention the "violations" of the "Thirteenth Amendment", (being forced into involuntary servitude in order to pay income taxes). Remember, Congress and Politicians, I am speaking out under the cover of the "First Amendment". As a "free born citizen" of these "United States" I invoke my "Rights" of the "Constitution of the United States", especially the "First Amendment" of the "Bill of Rights". These rights were written and adopted and ratified for the "Citiziens", (naturalized or otherwise), of these United States, of the which I am.
