Dear friends, I am happy to announce that my web pages are back. As you know, I removed all of my pages from Tripod due to their new and exorbitant charges for space and bandwidth. Then, I signed up with a new server called "HomewithGod" and started re-creating my pages there only to find out that they do not allow downloads at all which, of course, is a major part of my music pages. I believe that most visitors would want to download some of the music. So, now, I have gone back to Tripod but, in order to be able to afford them, I have deleted about half of the songs on my music pages, keeping what I consider to be the best of the songs. For the last week, I have attempted to contact Tripod but they do not respond to my messages. I have questions that need answers before I purchase additional bandwidth. So, if my bandwidth allotment runs out, don't be surprised if you find a message to the effect that "This web site is not accessible because the owner has used all of the allotted bandwidth. It will be accessible again in two hours. If you are the owner, you need to purchase more bandwidth ... etc. etc." What a shame that it has come to this. Servers such as Tripod are suddenly "making a killing" on space and bandwidth charges that plenty of poor folks like me cannot afford. As of now, my total monthly charges are $50.00 but I will surely need to purchase more bandwidth which could easily amount to an additional $25.00 or more per month. Please pray that the Lord will give me the wisdom to know what to do about this devastating situation. I considered just abandoning my entire web site for good but then I remembered that these are not my pages ... they are God's pages and I must trust Him to show me the way ... His way. Here are the new URLs: Rose's Music Pages (13 MIDI and Real Audio pages) http://memers.tripod.com/~rosemck1/index.html Rose's Web Pages (13 inspirational pages) http://members.tripod.com/~rosemck1/index-2.html A note about The Old Country Church (Southern Gospel music in Real Audio): I regret that I had to delete some of the very large music files and, in some cases, the artist's whole section. In those cases, I added a link to their web sites in the "Southern Gospel Links" section near the bottom of the page. Thanks for understanding and may God bless you and your families. Rose McKinley P.S. Here is Tripod's definition of bandwidth: "Bandwidth (also known as "data transfer") is the amount of data that is used to transfer a member's web page (including the HTML, graphics, text, sound files, etc.) from the host server to the person viewing the page. If the total contents of the page equals 1 MB, and the page is visited 100 times, the total bandwidth is 100 MB."
